Buffer TCP-IP / RS232 Xedat IP
for the documentation and billing of telephone traffic
Altecon XEDAT phone documentation system consists in an buffer of interface with the telephone exchange and in a processing software running on a personal computer, that collects, stores and classifies the telephone data by appropriately processing it (e.g. cost charging) and creating statistical reports.
Main features of Altecon XEDAT documentation system are:
- it can be interfaced with any telephone exchange equipped with a documentation output;
- no dedicated personal computer is needed: any existing computer can be used;
- data is continuously collected even if a power failure or a computer fault occur;
- data can be collected from different remote sites and centralized in an single reference database;
- stored data can be accessed from different sites connected in the local network.
Altecon XEDAT buffer is supplied with a dedicated software able to deliver several functions: from the basic functions, such as the charge of the phone calls directly in different currencies; the calculation of the hold on and conversation times; the creation of hundreds of customizable types of graphs and reports; to the most advanced functions, such as decoding the string given by the telephone exchange using programmable macro codes - in order to process any record documented by the telephone exchange - and the possibility to configure the records after the installation, without losing any information received in the meantime.
XEDAT IP: Technical details
Description:
- XEDAT-IP is a buffer dedicated to store traffic data generated by telephone exchanges (PABX);
- It stores data in memory for a long time;
- It connects to PABX directly or via a LAN;
- It connects to the computer (PC) that processes telephone traffic data.
Technical Specs:
- LAN Ethernet Port;
- RS232 Serial Port;
- Memory battery to supply power when a power fault occurs;
- 256 Megabyte Memory;
- Optional Real Time Clock with dedicated memory battery.
Operation
- The buffer can be fully configured from Ethernet network using the supplied software;
- PABX data can be downloaded using the TCP/IP protocol (IP address and exchange TCP port address are programmable) [Pic. 1];
- Data can be collected from PABX using the serial RS232 connection (asynchronous serial parameters are programmable) [Pic. 2];
- Data can be downloaded to the computer using the TCP/IP protocol (the buffer IP address is programmable).
